CrossRoads Teachers Training a Huge Success!

Over the weekend, 26-29 May, FAMSA(Worcester) hosted a ‘Life at the CrossRoads’ training event. Fifty six trainees from Worcester, Robertson, De Doorns, Wolseley, Hermanus and St Helena Bay attended the four day event to become accredited teachers, qualified to teach the Life skills and Character Development Curriculum in their community. All the trainees had the opportunity to teach a Character lesson to a class of grade 8 learners at the Worcester Secondary School. Throughout the 30 hr training the focus was on the main themes of Character training…. Relationships, Character Connection, Sex in Perspective, Life skills and Navigating the Future.

What a few CrossRoads teachers said after the Worcester event….

“I  just wish the whole world could apply the principles of CrossRoads”

“I realise that it(good character) starts with me”

“Yes, this is a tool, I cannot see myself without! I think the most important ingredient is the need to do my work with excellence”
